Motivating and Managing towards Excellence

Course Overview:

Recent research has shown that organiSations must become “One Big Team Working Together” to achieve the organizational mission and to create high levels of customer satisfaction. Everyone would be involved in contributing their ideas, working together as internal customers. To achieve this requires a radical shift in “management” paradigm where leaders and managers must realise the importance of employee involvement in the management process i.e. the importance of encouraging and motivating employees to contribute their ideas as well as to harness the employees potential, and to adopt a major style and behaviour role change.

Where in the Industrial era, most leaders were selected for having good “command and control” skills and technical skills, the present Knowledge era demands a new breed of leaders who must couple technical skills with good people leadership skills, the ability to manage and motivate for excellence.
